TESS: Domains 2 & 4

Course Objectives:

• Demonstrate a basic understanding of developing as a professional educator.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of establishing high quality learning environments.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of building supporting relationships with families and communities.

Lesson Goals:

• Explain the purpose of the TESS rubric and how teachers can use it as a tool for professional growth.
• Unpack TESS Domain 4.
• Apply the characteristics of reflective writing by writing a blog post.

Assessment:

• Blog Post:  
• Reflect on your journey thus far in EXCEL Teacher Cadets and how it relates to TESS Domains 2 & 4.  
• THE WHAT?  Describe actions, experiences, learning in the course thus far. 
• SO WHAT?   Analyze how they relate to TESS Domains 2 and/or 4. Reflect on your experiences and learning.
• NOW WHAT?  Reflect on how your learning and experiences will change your thoughts/feelings/behaviors in the future.
